In the lush mountainous region of Akanke, the coffee cooperative Abakundakawa (‘Those Who Love Coffee) has been operating since 2004 and is well known for collaborating with the women’s coffee associations, Hinga Kawa and Dakundakawa. They have made it their mission to work alongside local growers in order to alleviate poverty and create a thriving coffee community. Their focus on the cultivation and rigorous processing of this harvest is evident in the cup, showcasing a silky and vibrant coffee drinking experience. We are proud to play our small part in supporting their efforts through sharing this coffee that is not only delicious, but is also a testament to the skill and determination of the women producers of Rwanda.
